Net Notes Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

The short version: Net Notes doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no adverts and no tracking. Your cricket log stays on your phone, and in your own iCloud if you turn backup on. We can't see it.

Who we are

Net Notes is made by Thomas Wood, trading as Highstreet Signal, Cowbridge, Wales, UK. If you have any questions about privacy, email hello@netnotes.app.

What Net Notes stores

Everything you log, including sessions, matches, players you've faced, notes and your character, is saved on your device. We don't run any servers, and nothing you log is sent to us.

iCloud backup

If you switch on backup, your log is copied to the private area of your own iCloud account, run by Apple. Only you can get to it. We can't see it, and Apple's own privacy policy covers how iCloud works.

Camera and Photos

You can turn either of these off at any time in your phone's Settings.

Sharing

When you share a session, Net Notes makes a picture of your card and hands it to the app you pick, like Messages or WhatsApp. Only what's in the picture is shared, and nothing is uploaded by us.

Net Notes Plus

Payment for Plus is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, email or payment details. To check whether Plus is active, Net Notes uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. It receives Apple's purchase receipt, a random ID made up by the app, and basic technical details such as the app version and type of phone. It never receives your name, email, or anything you've logged. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. You can manage or cancel Plus in your Apple account settings.

Analytics, adverts and tracking

None. Net Notes has no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking.

Children

Net Notes is made for cricketers of all ages, including young players. Because we don't collect any personal data, there's nothing we hold about any child. Plus can only be bought through Apple, where parents can use Ask to Buy and Screen Time controls.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. To delete your iCloud backup, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage, find Net Notes and delete its data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
